Obituary for Jane King
Jane M. Dion King of Winooski VT passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving neighbors and dog, Maggie on January 17, 2023. Jane was born in Colchester, VT on February 11, 1939, the daughter of Donat Dion and Ida May (St. Peter) Dion of Winooski. She attended St. Louis Convent and graduated from Winooski High School in 1959.
Jane worked at JCPenney and Rossignol Ski Company for years.
Jane had many special neighbors and friends who became her family. They are Jim and Edna Yates, Bonnie and Lloyd Trombly, Jim and Laura, Melanie and Tom Nattress, and their two daughters Amanda and Lydia. In addition, she left behind many lifelong friends whom she cherished. She also leaves Dianna and Peter Dion and other cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert E King in 2014.
Jane's biggest love in life was to take care of animals, she always owned a dog or a cat and they very were well taken care of. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. Jane had a beautiful touch for interior decorating.
There will be no visiting hours. A private mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated later in the spring. Interment will be at St Francis Xavier Cemetery.
Jane was loved and cherished by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
