Obituary for Joeann Marie Bessette
Joeann Marie Bessette, 64, of Burlington, Vermont passed away peacefully at home on December, 17, 2021, surrounded by family and friends.
Joeann was born in Burlington, Vermont on January 21, 1957. Joeann was the 8th child
born to the late Gilbert and Theresa Bessette.
Joeann was a beautiful, bubbly, gentle soul who simply accepted everyone! Her guiding light was her loving spirit and she made everyone who met her feel special...She loved a great party, a wonderful conversation or a simple cup of tea. Her compassionate nature made herself and her home a haven for all.
Joeann loved to read and was a follower of holistic healing. To Joeann, hearts were more important than bodies... Her engaging personality made friends out of strangers. Joeann enjoyed traveling and was the lead singer in a band in Toronto, and Montreal Canada...Joeann also traveled to Europe, but decided that home was calling and returned to Burlington.
She purchased her home and was content to be a Vermonter! One of her proudest accomplishments was her ability to remain independent and live life on her terms. We thank all who helped, shared and supported Joeann through her short but difficult health journey. We are grateful!
Joeann is survived by her brothers Robert J. Bessette, and Gilbert A. Bessette and his wife Lynn, her sisters Claudette M. Sears, June M. Bugbee and her husband Robert Bugbee, Suzette Bessette and Gail M. Cameron, as well as her beautiful and supportive nieces and nephews. Thank you.
During this last journey of Joeann's life, her favorite saying was “we never know anything,” meaning ‘Thank God we do not know what is around the next corner!”
