Obituary for Marie Lucille "Lucille" Couture (Parot)
Marie "Lucille" Couture, 85, of Essex Junction VT died on January 2, 2023 with her son Kraig at her side. Lucille was born on August 1st, 1937 in Colchester VT. Lucille married her best friend Leo "Paul" Couture on May 6, 1961. Lucille spent the early years of her marriage as a military spouse stationed in several different states and countries. Her fondest memory was being stationed in Germany with her husband Paul and first born child, Kevin. Eventually Lucille and Paul settled in Essex Junction where she raised her family and enjoyed spending time with her great friends old and new.
Once her husband retired, they enjoyed traveling up and down the east coast for many years and especially out west to see their son Kraig. In Lucille's later years she so enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters, and looked forward to hosting the family brunch.
On December 16th, Lucille lost her best friend Paul who passed away after 61 years of a great marriage. Lucille's heart was broken and it just could not recover. Lucille was also pre-deceased by her son Kevin Couture. Lucille is survived by her son Kraig of Visalia, CA, and her brothers/sisters and spouses: Marilyn and Stephen Luchini, Arnold and Charlotte Parot, Jerry and Debbie Parot, Danny and Laurie Parot, Colleen and Dahl Corry and Patty and Ed Noory.
Lucille's son Kraig would like ot than all the great medical staff that provided such great care in their later years of life. without their great care in addition to all the UVM hospital staff that helped, Lucille and Paul would not have been able to have such great, long, independent lives right up to the end.
