Obituary for Mark Renkert

Mark Edward Renkert, 64, passed away peacefully November 3, 2022 at home in South Burlington, Vermont. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. At home, Renkert enjoyed the companionship of his service dog Nicolas, caring for his chickens, gardens, and beekeeping.
Renkert gained his passion for chickens and public speaking in the FFA (Future Farmers of America) at Glastonbury High School in CT. He served in the army as an Airborne Ranger.
Renkert was dedicated to lifelong learning. He was well read with an enthusiasm, and flair for the art of words. Professionally, his joy was found in helping others build their careers and businesses. Many will remember him as an avid skier, hiker, and outdoorsman. Most of all, he enjoyed his many friends, and acquaintances.
Born in Manchester, Connecticut in 1958, Mark was the oldest son of Geraldine and William Renkert. He will be deeply missed by his Mother, Geraldine Joyce (Rubacha) Renkert; brother William A. Renkert, his wife Vickie, William’s sons Jordan, Mitchel and Colin; and sister Laureen Ross, her husband Charles, and their daughters Laura and her husband Kurt Guzik, and Charlotte; and aunt Elaine Tilley. He is survived by his aunt Pam Murzyn and uncle Charles Denler. He was predeceased by his wife Julie M. Fitzgerald, father William Albert Renkert, uncles Leroy Renkert and James Tilley, and aunts Beverly Denler and Barbara Renkert.
The family expresses their appreciation to Bayada Hospice and Lisa Maple RN for their valiant care, beloved friend, Sarah Bortz, his caring and dependable neighbors Jennifer Whisher & James Fox, Bob Stevens, Bern & Freda Scarpa, dear friend Jane Yagoda, and his adopted Vermont family Dawn, Mike & Sarah Lancaster.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
