Richard L. Martin, born in 1952, left for his final journey on May 1, 2023 at the age of 70; survived by his wife, Bonni; daughter Amber Gourley of South Carolina and daughter Hannah; son Adam (Kristen) Martin of Louisiana and daughter Briana; daughter Jessica (Bill) Murphy of South Burlington and son Tristan; son Gregory Zekos (Makyla Dumont) of Fairfax and children Lily, Mira, and Noeiva; brother Gerald (Lisa) of Alabama; sister Linda (Steve) Zeno of South Burlington; sister Catherine Burbo of Winooski; mother-in-law Yvonne Ireland of South Burlington; and too many friends and coworkers to count. Richard is predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Jean, his brother David, and his brother-in-law Ralph (Burbo).
Richard found enjoyment and fulfillment in helping others. He started his career as a small appliance repairman and ended his career as a large appliance repairman at ReSource, a nonprofit organization finding value in every one and every thing . He was delighted in spending time playing with his grandchildren. Richard touched more lives than he realized showing kindness to everyone. Richard most enjoyed activities involving canoeing and fishing. He was a lover of all animals.
