Rita passed away Friday April 8 th , 2022 at the tender age of 97. She was born on October 20, 1924, to
Herman and Emilia Bergeron and leaves behind two brothers, Francis and his wife Shirley as well as
Victor and his wife Betty. She was predeceased by her siblings Walter Bergeron, Odeon Bergeron and
Bertha Beaudoin. Rita married the love of her life and is now reunited with her husband Harold D Jarvis.
They built a life in Winooski where they raised a family and ran a successful business together. After
retiring to Milton Vermont, they enjoyed many years of travels in their RV with good friends. Eventually
they divided their time between Vermont and Florida becoming what Rita referred to as snowbirds. Rita
treasured the love from the many friends she met during her long life. She was a ball of energy until the
end. She enjoyed Casino trips, bingo, eating out and visiting her children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren. She leaves behind and will be greatly missed by her daughter Diana Erikson her husband
David, son David Jarvis his wife Judy and daughter Donna Provost with her partner Rick.

and Delilah Thomas, Aydan Croft, Bella and Lilianna Young.

A Mass will be held at St Francis Church on June 9th 2022 at noon followed by burial in St Francis
Cemetery Winooski then a celebration of Rita’s life at 3 Elmer Place Milton.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Humane Society in honor of Rita’s love of animals.
