Obituary for Roland LeBlanc

Roland LeBlanc, 82, of Burlington, passed away January 16 th at the UVM Medical Center of natural causes.
Roland was born in Colchester, Vermont and moved to Orleans Vermont with his parents George and Flora LeBlanc. Roland grew up with many brothers, sisters and cousins.
Roland married Laura Zagajeski on November 10, 1976. Laura predeceased him in 2017. He is also predeceased by parents and siblings.
Roland worked for the Red Barn restaurant in his early adult life where he employed many area students over the years. Roland also worked may years for the Ethan Allen Club and completed his career at the Burlington Elks Lodge.
In 2012, Roland was inducted into the Orleans and Northern Essex athletics hall of fame for his outstanding basketball skills and sportsmanship.
Roland loved to play cribbage and have a good time. Roland leaves behind Laura’s family, special sister Madeline, special cousin Francis LeBlanc, John Morley, John’s family and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Silver Towers or VNA in Roland’s name.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 21, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St, Winooski, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday January 22 at St. Marks Catholic Church 1251 North Ave, Burlington, VT. Burial will take place in the spring at New Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of LaVigne Funeral Home.
