Obituary for Roxanna Stearns (LaBounty)
Roxanna May LaBounty Stearns of Colchester, Vermont, passed away peacefully in her home on November 14, 2022, after a long illness. Roxanna worked at Sodexo at UVM for 35 years. She enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles.
She was born on March 16, 1960 in Burlington, Vermont. Roxanna is predeceased by her father Kenneth LaBounty, her mother Roberta Labounty, her brother in law Floyd Miner, David Stearns, Michael Stearns, Wayne Stearns, and Laurie Dyke. She is survived by her devoted husband Gerald “Jerry” Stearns, her son Mark Stearns and his partner Lisa Tran of Colchester, her daughter Amy Stearns of Burlington as well as her sister in law Marie Minor, Kathy Lord her husband David and their family, her brothers Karl LaBounty Sr. and his wife Norma and their family, Ken LaBounty Jr and his wife Deborah McCaffery and their family, Donald Stearns and his wife Kay Stearns and their family, and Robert Dyke and his family.
Visiting hours will be held at LaVigne Funeral Home in Winooski, VT on Friday, November 18th from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Colchester, VT on Saturday, November 19th at 2:00pm with a celebration of life to follow. A burial will follow at a later date.
