Obituary for Scott Foster
Scott Andrew Foster, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Scott was born in Burlington, Vermont, on August 2, 1967, son of Elwin “Al” Foster, Jr. and Shirley (Delisle) Foster.
Known for his big heart, tight hugs, genuine smile, incredible sense of humor, and ability to whip up the most delicious food on a whim, Scott brought joy to all lives that he touched. Scott loved to dance, listen to music, make people laugh, take his boat out on the lake, spend time with loved ones, cook, and collect neat oddities.
Scott is survived by his beloved children Samuel Foster, Oliver Morrison, and step-daughter Abigail (LaRock) Santoro; mother Shirley; siblings Tracy Lavallee and Eileen Yandow; a boat load of nieces and nephews and their families - Sean Jaques, April Lang, Julia Reed, Chad Hatin, Corey Lavallee, Danielle Yandow, Alissa Yandow, and Cassie Yandow; closest and dearest friend Azra Musich and family; and former spouse Eileen (Rectenwald) Foster. He is preceded in death by his father Al, and brother Christopher.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 2nd at 1:00pm at Starr Farm, Burlington, VT 05408 in the barn. If you are able to attend, please bring a dish to share. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ACT 1, 184 Pearl Street, Burlington, VT 05401, in his honor.
